i've voted right in 2020 and probably still will this upcoming election. but some areas i don't agree with conservatives:
1. abortion -- i don't give a shit about the fetus (they are practically in a state of nothingness-as-of-yet), nor do i believe that a woman/parents who do not want a child shouldn't feel like they have no choice. and abortion bans will only increase children entering the foster care system and we all know common occurrences in foster homes. then again, i also have eugenics/darwin sympathies.
2. religion -- should be self-explanatory. religion, specifically Christianity, has no place in public schools or politics, and the founding fathers designed it as a secularist country -- literally the first amendment -- that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof." and some of these FFs include Benjamin Franklin (a deist who rejected puritan beliefs), common sense author thomas paine (advocated a non-dogmatic belief in a Creator, "there is God and his creation and "no more," was referred to by theodore roosevelet as a "filthy little atheist"), thomas jefferson (subscribed to reason over revelation and rejected Christian doctrines like the virgin birth and the resurrection of jesus christ), ... that being said, i will never be against christian moral principles. btw, i believe in the higher power; i am the higher power. only my existence and my consciousness can be verified. i think therefore i am.
3. gun control -- i'm a gun nut myself, and believe in the right to bear arms but not for all but some. reminder that the US military has the asvab (iq equivalent tests) to determine whether the costs will outweigh the benefits and with great reason. jordan peterson has covered this. also anyone who has actually done these so-called background checks or form 4473 knows that it's complete bullshit, merely a set of yes or no questions, and simply not enough. and why worry about other people owning guns? the whole point of firearms is a superior tool to kill effectively, and it's completely counterintuitive for more people to own them. worry about arming YOURSELF. and there is nothing more cringe than 2A advocate content creators. and like i mentioned in one of BOTB threads regarding ai and drones. muh there will be a rifle behind every blade of grass. muh vietnam. muh afghanistan. the world will be completely different in a few decades. we're already seeing how drones and technology can wipe you no matter where you're hiding or what you have, and we're only at the beginning.
