should i switch to mechanical Engineering [srs thread]

rn in electronics engineering with a special focus which i dont want to say for privacy reasons.

its killer af for all sorts of career paths, especially for medtech and finance-consulting companies, which is what i wanna do down the line.

for venturing into finance-consulting, it doesnt really matter what i study (At least here), because companies only care about the college and the analytical thinking and experience and not so much per se about what people studied.

and about medtech, thats why im interning in the field of cancer epigenetic diagnostics because at the end of the day diagnostics is what makes big cash, not drug development, personalized medicine is the future and diagnostics-focused medtech companies (including epigenetics, and NMR-based machines) will win big. this involves HEAVY and i mean HEAVY electronics and electrical subjects like digital electronics, analog electronics, instrumentation, signal processing, imaging etc. basically my current major is set for this field.

however i really really enjoy all mechanical related subjects, and not only that, im also TERRIFIC at them. S+ tier in those subjects, including the labs, etc. i enjoy them so much to the point where im seriously considering switching to mechanical engineering.
instant downsides would be LOSS of all electronics related subjects, like poof, gone.
upsides would be more free time cuz mechanical is easy af and i would have more time to actually work and learn more stuff and i would get huge insights into manufacturing, petroleum industries, fluid mechanics, and how supply chain works.

i want to hear ur guys' views on this. im not making a concrete decision here, im just thinking and i want to hear some points from ur guys' pov

Electronics engineering sounds like a vastly inferior degree, idk why would you be studying thay instead of electrical engineering unless ofc you got rejected.

Electronics engineering is a subset of this. Electronics engineering is basically electrical engineering with a concentration in electronics and xyz focus
That’s what it means here

You will have to look at the work permits amd compare.

muh education, muh career path. the only thing that will help you make money is connection and luck. you're better off dropping out, saving your money, and investing in bitcoin. that's about the only realistic method of becoming financial independent for most people outside of wageslaving. unless you're really deadset on that

That’s not really a thing here

I dont know so I cant comment anything but this sounds very stupid and untrue

the only mechanical engineering you need is building bombs and assembling guns in 2024. i give it until 2030 tops until things fall apart

Anyone can work in any field, there’s really no on paper work permit, it’s upto a company to decide

I think the most overlapping engineering field is that of civil engineering. Which is why I consider us the overall smartest and sexiest engineers (as in dark rugged machos). my pet could never understand.

It’s not about that, I really enjoy mechanical subjects, strongly considering it to study it basically

Civil is chill but it’s very hard to find non autistic chiller civil people. You’re a chiller for sure, and I have a couple of chiller civil friends but apart from that, it’s all either super autistic weird people or stuck up sons of bitches who have multiple rods up their ass any given time.

Civil profs aren’t any better, they act like they get 0 head on any given day, and are kinda retarded.
Civil would be good af with the right profs and people

Mechanical mogs in this aspect though, it’s more chiller and less dark triad for sure, but more masc imo at least
