Do the believers in this magical rule think that not engaging in violence will protect them when the invaders come into their lands with and chop them down one by one? How's that the psychology of a weakling? A strong person can live by the golden rule without issues, while a weak person cannot. Low-life bums are the ones who steal, lie, fight etc. the most, while the well-off can afford to be kind.
