Is/was PSL one of the biggest forums online
#1
I remember when i first joined i was surprised how many posts and active users there were

All the other forums i saw over the years were highly inactive, maybe one new thread every couple weeks

To me forums seemed dead and a thing of the past

fagmaxx.org has over half a million threads for example, lookism i believe had similar numbers

all other forums had this retarded policy of not spamming and keep the forum clean and civil shit.
in psl people could just explode from ideas and talk about anything they want.

True, most forums stayed within their niche too, not much off topic discussion

Guess PSL is more like social media platform for incels than a real forum

I think its not even close

every time I go down some online community rabbit hole I'm shocked I hadn't heard of it before

this boils down to how massive of a place the internet is

truly hard to grasp

PSL is literally "the forefront of the coping movement"

Kiwifarms (which had threads on PSL and its users they made fun of as "lolcows") was at least or more active up until it was shut down last month.

The Bodybuilding forum (lots of people from PSL came from there, or posted there simultaneously, including Elliot Rodger) has also been much more active and is still up since the 2000s: forum.bodybuilding.com. The Misc subforum is close to what you would find in Shitty Advice: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/forumdisplay.php?f=19.

Lookism averaged 40-50 online members for most of the day. Even in prime time (CET evening), it rarely exceeded 80-90. Slightly more since 2020 or so
