First off, there's this young 20-something latino bartender he's been trying to finesse for ages now (the bar is close to where he lives but far from me) and I literally just go out with him one night and she started calling me papi in front of him and then he goes to her "you can't be calling him that around me now..."
Later, we head to another bar and there's this 28 year old French Canadian chick with a carpe diem forehead tattoo that we later find out has a boyfriend. He starts with his smooth-talking, and she's kinda having it, still maintaining eye contact with him almost entirely but occasionally looking over at me. Then she changes focus to me and asks me what kind of drink is my go to, and I said vodka, she said hers is tequila, so she orders a vodka and tequila from the bartender and leaves my friend completely out of the picture. I notice the awkwardness of that and he gets kinda cheesed and I go to him, "it's because you said you were driving," I look over at her and I'm getting no reinforcement for what I said (I thought she would) and so he only seems to half-believe it
Later in the night he talks about playing pool and then does a forced fist bump with her like "yo we playing this together, we on the same team, cool?" She gives that to him but then wanders around a bit then comes back to me and asks me to go up with her and play versus two other people. Again, I notice the potential pissiness of my friend (because he's after this chick that idgaf about) so I introduce myself to the pool table people but then I ask her for a lighter and told her I'm going outside for a smoke and that my friend would join her. Should've seen the disappointment in her face
Anyway the night ends with him getting her number, and then I don't leave it there, I ask her for hers too (which later pissed him the fuck off). Just for the vibes, no intention behind it. Then she's like convinced I have a girlfriend and then starts asking me if my girlfriend is "openminded when it comes to girls" because she was down to have a threesome
We head back over to his place and he has this long lecture about how "you clearly have no intentions with this girl, why you gotta do me like that man." I told him he was overthinking shit and he's like "yo dude that's not what a wingman does, now you made this shit awkward af with her having both of our numbers." Just fucking LOL at the contrast of me just going out for the vibes, and effortlessly getting girls to throw themselves at me, and him going out of his way to manipulate others via "game" and getting nothing out of it. And then having the audacity after all of this to tell me that I'm "missing on so many social cues" and that I'm engaging in so many "faux pas."
