Doesn't have much to do with IQ tbh

It has more to do with interest i believe

I wanted to make a multiplayer game years ago so i taught myself programming and tcp protocol

Also helps if u're aspie and rather spend all day at home learning stuff than to socialize

Idk, i just do it for fun. Couldn't imagine doing it as a job tbh

I do kinda make some money off it now

If i were able to choose between spending my teenage years at home learning to program or being out meeting girls, going to parties etc. i would choose the latter

if I could avoid uni and last an entry level programming job by the time I finish hs I'd do that in a heartbeat. Coding is so easy and there are so many resources out there it just takes dedication. Meanwhile in legit engineering fields you get assraped by bbc to get a 5/10 in the lamest class lol
