I need to cut this out. I’m getting serious brain damage. Self control and attention span is nearing zero

if this starts to happen, then you need to do 2 main things:
1. block websites that are most addicting
2. don't go on internet in the morning (do active hobbies instead)

also:
  • it's important to do hobbies that require concentration, because you'll end up paying more attention to your mental state (which means you'll notice how bad too much internet is for your brain)
  • also, NEVER use a smart phone to surf web. it's a dumbed down experience, you have less control over extensions/blocking websites, and it encourages you to lie down.
  • NEVER view short form entertainment; install blocker extensions for short form content and delete apps.
  • good sleep schedule is very important for self control

most people (even boomers) are now sleep-deprived zombies that spend literally all their free waking hours scrolling tiktok. it's hard to imagine anything more damaging for brain health.
