One of the reasons is because if you don't apply a narcissistic overlay on top of the experience, you open yourself up to being taken advantage of people who recognize the altered state you're in (example, a gay guy will see that you're more open to making out or a taxi driver will lie to you that his wife is dying)

But the main reason is because it activates a false state of being where you begin to consider that the organic portals ("people") around you actually exist, their stories are real, and you start to genuinely care about them and their (nonexistent) emotional states

Basically if I ever want to take a hard drug to go partying, it would probably be speed. It works on a different receptor than molly does, but it gives you a similar high minus all the gay and empathetic stuff

I mean, I get the mental clarity effects as well. But sociopathic people who are experienced with molly recognize the state you're in and can take advantage of it, or at least play with you
