1. actually capable scientists are not just not interested in "popularizing science" - engaging in that activity is the biggest failo you can have within the academy and a telltale sign that you are a garbage scientist and that you should be eternally grateful to god for even being capable of graduating. no one within the academy thinks "i love this guy, he is doing god's work", which is perfectly understandable - his entire work (applies to all "science popularizers") breaks down to leeching off actual scientists' accomplishments

1. his already mid at best ability to explain science to laymen aside, his attempts at making political points, being witty and providing coherent social critique are fucking abysmal
