guns in the format of glock 17s are redundant when guns in the format of glock 19s/compacts exist.
in the future all guns should come out default in compact size, and this will be called full size or standard size. 4 inch barrel or less.
then there can be xl versions of these guns for people with very big hands. still 4 inch barrel.
the reason for 4 inches is because dr. paul harrell has done a test where accuracy only suffers once barrel lengths get down below 3 inches.
black powder guns and revolvers will not be effected and they have different classifications from autoloaders. ie they use the "frame" designation.
