I do this every day. 2h of walking is 8k steps and 310 kcal

Just dont do too much because going below 500kcal deficit will burn your muscles off and make u weak (at least for me).

this is my biggest concern - that I'm just not capable of experiencing something that would change my ways.

even after experiencing extremely negative or extremely positive situations in my life, i just regress to my zombie dead-on-the-inside self within a day. 

how do people just wake up one day or experience something significant in their lives and completely switch their m.o.? i'm aware most of these cases/stories are bullshit, but some really do manage to make a change

Changes are subtle
I have had a couple “traumatic” experiences in my life I while I didn’t actively try to change my ways to say avoid being in that situation again I realized that those experiences really did have an affect on the way I think and perceive the world

idk. i sometimes manage to change my habits for 2-3 weeks and start feeling like an idiot when i realize how fucking easy it is, and that the obstacles i think i must overcome are imaginary. 

in the big picture, though, these are rare exceptions and i feel like i'm a slave to my stupid brain, and that it's not fixable
