tbh a lot of movies that keanu reeves is the main actor of are variations of "gnosticism" - ive seen a trailer of this movie before and i didnt watch it (yet) bc its the usual generic "hey kids, satan is cool acshually!" - but from this dialogue alone of the clip u posted it doesnt seem to be bad

yeah. i mean i get that the actual devil part is supposed to be symbolic/metaphorical, i just prefer it when wow moments are within realism. it's harder to create that than to just introduce magic, superpowers etc to the story. i hate cuckold losers of directors who use the dream/schizo episode trick in movies and shows too for the same reason - it's just too easy and cheap considering the director already controls and dictates the entire universe the plot is taking place in.
