There couldn't be anything less important to me than looks

There is zero dopamine to be extracted from anything anyone can say or do

I think at age 32 (and early part of 33) I got what last bit could be extracted from whatever that world was

At age 35, I now have a completely anhedonic identification with anything looks-related (as in beyond just recognizing the functional value of it, e.g. getting what you want by virtue of your looks), the things I hear or am praised for now legitimately have 0 effect on me and when someone says something about my appearance (not just about my face, but clothes too), I immediately try to change the topic

But even when it comes to jabs regarding appearance, not just praise, my 24 year old self would have heard something the barber told him about his hairline and it would have stayed rent-free in my head for the rest of the year, prompted me to find hair loss forums, and then get deeper in the rabbit hole to find puahate and later lookism.com (and there goes the rest of your 20s). Then at 34 (last month) I hear the same thing from a barber who is 25 and I just laugh at the thought that there's a world in which these things are even noticed or cared about anymore

It's easy to forget how little these niggas at those ages actually know

Don't act like people in their 20s (even late) have gotten to where I am now

I haven't met a single one who has

Even many in their early, and even some in their mid 30s haven't yet
