there has never been a female tier one pro in counterstrike despite being the defacto skillbased shooter for decades
and u think well its because really few women play cs at all, so the sample size for a pro to emerge is just too small in comparison to the males.. ?
well both valorant and overwatch have a massive increase in gender diversity compared to counterstrike, but we dont really see a relative increase in female pros. Actually the situation is the same in those games. They have both never ever had prominent, female T1 professional players, excluding a single outlier in each game being florescent and geguri
we already know: due to testosterone, men are more driven, confrontational, and derive way more dopamine from dominating in skill oriented contests such as winning an aim duel. there is also research backing up men having better spacial awareness (crucial for gamesense and movement), and a faster reaction time. But despite all this, the individual differences between people regardless of gender should be big enough that this doesnt matter. so why do women suck so much
