Not even on these forums or anything, but just in general I have people in my social circle always claiming that they have autism, which is odd because I don't recall this being that popular of a term until recently, the past few years?

maybe they are coping for their shortcomings, or use it as excuse for X Y

they are confusing introversion achieved through atypical development for inborn autism. autism etymologically or as for its intended meaning and not by the any given connotation to it is a form of self-system. people are too much in the internet, cellphones are akin to external sensory deprivation, which is displaced by an isolating chamber that is akin to a mirror; algorithmic function is pretty much that way. you have to think about this in the sense of a square, an eye within any of the vertical triangles that compose the square only has a limited vision, and when added more eyes to fill all sides you will have a higher degree of filled greyscales within such vision, which is how we learn things, by taking in the vision of others to its full resolution. millennials are the last generation that have a semblance of normality to them because they were introduced to such simulated, externally deprived, mirror world by living first in reality and then getting to it in gradual steps later. newest generations are born this way, with cellphones and computers, thus increasingly autistic.
