Social outcasts watch cringe compilations - athletic chad watches sports fails - Honest - 17-10-2022

Social outcasts see themselves in the cringe compilations – it represents a realistic fear: having their social ineptitude exposed to a wide audience.
Athletic chads also see themselves in sports fails – they can relate to failing in a sports setting (or can relate to the fear of failing), as they are watched by an audience.

Meanwhile, it seems that women prefer dramas, where social gaffes are portrayed in a very subtle manner, so that only highly socialised women would be able to pick up on it; the majority of men would find those dramas incredibly boring, in the same way that normal females find cringe compilations or sports fails boring.

The act of sports watching for males seems similar to the drama for females; it is a clear display of the male desire to perform athletically, while the female desire is to perform socially. Perhaps the missing of an open goal in football generates the same emotions in the mind of a male, as a social blunder in a melodrama generates in the mind of a female.

The neurotic social outcast, who spends his time fretting about his own social behaviour, and being naturally unathletic, therefore finds amusement in watching blatant social blunders, or watching the lives of other ugly and maladjusted people (lolcows), rather than sports or dramas. Of course, there are plenty of social outcasts who enjoy sports; perhaps it represents an unfulfilled desire to fit in, or simply acts as entertainment to pass the time.

Good comment about sports

That's what i tell people who start grunting about sports fans and sports being retarded - it's just cheap entertainment, male version of soap operas
