obviously this isnt the only factor that determines the strength of an army since millions of poorly armed, poorly trained and uncoordinated peasants are useless in modern warfare

a better question (since the op one is relatively easy to guess, you just go by the countries' population) - where is germany on that list?
also, mirin Iceland with 0 active soldiers and 0 reserve soldiers

those countries like Germany and UK have super advanced military industries and could throw money at the industry anytime and grow a massive army. North Korea has 1 million troops with AKs, cold war MiGs and rusty soviet tanks. Absolutely worthless lives to be purged on the enemy meatgrinder. Mirin doctrine.

true. assume israel was placed in africa or south america - they could take on those entire continents in a conflict.
and those figures are specially meaningless for countries that don't have nuclear weapon.
