I take Amitrip and it helps me sleep, lowers my anxiety, makes me feel better.

a doctor tried to push me those when I was trying to get a benzo prescription, so I assume they work for anxiety. I was never interested in getting into pharmaceutical antidepressants so never tried them, though

Those are much better than SSRIs and less likely to cause the same issues, so yeah they can be decent-ISH.

Thats good to hear cause I quit SSRI to get on TCA instead
I tried SSRI for 6 months and they didnt work I still felt like shit so I told my doctor I want AMITRIPTYLINE (TCA) and he said he can prescribe it but I have to quit SSRI first cause cant mix both so I quit SSRI and I got TCA (AMITRIPTYLINE) and they work much better
Its harder to get a AMITRIPTYLINE prescription than a SSRI prescription though so I was lucky
When I take AMITRIPTYLINE (TCA) I fall asleep in less than 5 minutes even if I had coffee during evening. Naturally it would take more than 5 hours to fall asleep if i had coffee during evening and without coffee about 1 or 2 hours to fall asleep
