i liked it, but it fell off in the second half, the whole arch with the duke and the duchess was a bit of a slog to get through and too over the top for my liking. the first part was much stronger imo. 

best part was the random side story 'tale of inappropriate curisoty' about the guy wanting to prove his wife couldnt be tempted to cheat and he ended up getting cucked jfl

i didn't read as much fiction, but that's my favorite novel. and no way people know about rocinante to that extent

other honorable mentions: a midsummer night's dream, hamlet, the canterbury tales, decameron, romeo and juliet (obviously), ivanhoe

though, i m much more drawn to early medieval tales and myths, and the big 3 of ancient greek tragedy. everything written after 1850 is garbage
