being at least somewhat gl + smarter than virtually everyone - Altruist - 24-01-2026 is vastly superior to being otherworldly good looking and dumb as fuck or just cognitively unremarkable you guys know this, but i'm fucking fascinated that 99% of retards of org genuinely think this is "cope", and that real life works on the 1% better looks = 1% better feedback and life experience principle RE: being at least somewhat gl + smarter than virtually everyone - Dreckssau - 24-01-2026 I would always aim to be smarter than to be better looking. But it depends on the evolutionary purpose. The main purpose of an unusually beautiful person seems to be inspire others to procreate and pass on their genes. So, they become models or actors. For the unusually smart person (genius), the drive is towards indirectly passing on your genes. That's why there is almost no genius known to have been a good father. These people either stay childless or their kids complain of neglect or mistreatment. Maybe there are counterexamples I haven't heard of, but it's not the norm. So, I can't say that one of these two extremes is an automatically superior subjective existence, because it all depends on how the tools one has been given are operated with. Both conditions can lead to fulfillment and self destruction. The only fucked up part is when you have no evolutionary purpose other than dying as fast as possible. |
