jfc my cortisol spiked so hard - hitlersblackedwaifu - 17-01-2026

I was obliterating some guy on chess by very high level outsmarting and my time ran out when I was about to win

locked position, calculated 15 move ahead plan but had not enough time to checkmate

lol in a sense that's the only game where you get so severely punished despite being just better than your opponent

it's so unfair to get punished for playing way better that I get massive cortisol time every time i lose like that

like seriously i feel pain in my chest and back from cortisol levels

It's okay, you'll get better with time

It's in our blood

idea: dont play chess because it spikes cortisol

issue: Im annoyed that I lost rank to noob and want to gain it back

breakthrough: rank doesnt mean shit, proof is I beat higher rank and lose to lower rank all the time

yeah thanks, we invented chess after all

yeah, that rule is retarded

another annoying type of loss is when you basically 99% won, but then stop caring thinking it doesn't matter what happens next and make a blunder that turns things around. specially painful in longer, higher quality games

yeah I literally smash my fist on my desk with max power when this happens

the reality is simple, just don't play low time setting games, because they are simply luck based, especially on sub chess god level where you have no idea what is going on and no time to think

you are basically often picking moves out of instinct (and you have no chess instinct on our level, so it's just luck).

yeah. timed games in general are retarded. nothing more enjoyable than playing with someone around your level for hours. irl, in cozy settings, with no pressure from neither of you to "hurry up".

A pizza could help.

oh god. imagine being this basic at the age of fucking 39. no suprise theory (the word you think means something other than it really means in this context) of evolution freaks you out.
