I read the wikipedia front page for my daily knowledge. but its just random stuff and not really anything big. but it passes the time for a few seconds

today I learned about Lithuanian Australian art collector who was crane driver and who donated all his paintings to his city once he died, to create a public art gallery. this was because he was a lonely Incel without family to give his inheritance to. he never married and was more interested in buying painting and gardening than going to pub with work colleagues

he was in the ss/nazi forces during ww2 before moving to Australia.  jews and liberals are angry at him and I think there was an investigation this year (2022) into his activities

Wikipedia doesn't go into depth in any subject. It's a bit more than a dictionary in it's practicality. Even if you somehow manage to memorize most of it's pages, you'll end up looking like a pseudo-intellectual with no actual grasp of the topic when you start talking about it.

you could just mention something that adds to conversation. if it goes deeper than you could freely admit your ignorance
