Any good strat games you can rec - Sexual chocolate - 20-09-2025
Most of the shit Ive come across like EU4 has insanely huge amount of modifiers,I cant get into it esp. when every modifier is random and the whole "game" is just knowing history so you can steer it a particular way. Thinking of checking out shogun 2 since atleast that seems more actualising a specific strat (Ive played chess before so I like where a specific strat is logical than being some effect of AI helping you out or something similar)

Could play civ but shogun looks fun. Eu4 has so much potential it's just insane learning curve with what looks like little actual strategic/ tactical play almost like the opposite of chess or what i was looking for

I also hate a game with big learning curve. I'm too old for that shit
In ~2019 I tried transitioning from AoE3 (2500 elo btw) to sc2 and it was just too much shit to learn and I dropped it within 2 weeks.
If you like single player games I could also suggest empire earth II (and I, but II is better)
campaign is top tier fun

I didn't say it's hard. But I wouldn't be content with doing 1 unit rushes to get a win and rank up. That's not fun to me.
