the aesthetics of ds has aged incredibly well, not sure about the gameplay since its clunky
for now im playing lies of p. its quite good, but unfortunately the primary bosses have terrible design
it started out with cool steampunk fashioned robots, and now its a bunch of undefined, mutated golems

LoP looks dope but yeh i hate when lategame design devolves into those golems and swarm type bullshit bosses. i think ds1 mogs when it comes to asethetics. something about it idk what really, its just special

fromsoftware remains untopped in designing chimeric bosses without devolving into resident evil tier deformed bosses (which serves purpose in the narrative of umbrella corp doing bioterrorism, but not to souslike)
