These trads make it seem like an unfortunate scenario for betas. And while it is certainly not a dream scenario, it is vastly preferable to many other options. Even for a chad, it is not a particularly bad option.

The only real disadvantage is that it would certainly hurt your future children. But if children are not a priority, I don't see the issue.
