The NOTHING phones are extremely clean too
And they are really cheap
the quality of the materials sucks but that's the trade-off I guess

There are open hardware choices and they are readily available, people don't use them because they aren't as convenient
The real kick in the teeth is when they ( the government [ the wealthy "demonic" and soulless pigs ] ) digitalize everything and you are forced to use the shitty modern spyware for even basic stuff like financial transactions or paying utility bills

i can see how cryptocurrencies and other digital means of transactions are being employed so that people are used to whatever digital international currency they are going to issue in the future. that way the physical untraceability of 'paper money' is no longer a thing, for it is no longer going to exist
