i used to have a xiaomi smartphone, it is chinese. that thing fell to the floor almost every week and it never had external physical damage. it became unusable after 4 years of use due to the amount of internal damage. meanwhile every person i know that has an iphone would complain about how fragile it is, such as stories of it breaking under pressure and by pressure i meant of a story where i was walking with a friend and his phone's screen broke inside his jeans' pocket. its unbelievable because of how ridiculous it is, but it is real. in short, east > west

its possible. idk how old java phone games are, but considering india is third world, third world is delayed by a few years techwise if in a direct comparison to western countries. at this very moment there are countries that are living in the 90s, and some living in 2010s, and so on and on. if the us and eu is in 2030, the ''most rich'' of third world countries are in 2023-2025

I think the services to buy these games were dropped somewhere in 2010

a lot of these games are rly hard to find online now in 2025, cant imagine back then

zoomers love to feel nostalgia over stuff they've never experienced. Been trying to make sense of this. I'll make a thread about this later maybe bc i have some anecdotes

i used to play ps2 in my childhood, however in first world countries xbox 360 was already the norm etc

few years ago there was a /v/ topic on ''russian /v/'s 100 games''
some asked why the list consisting almost entirely of older games, the reason obviously being that they are quite poor, so they play older games on pc. their taste is good however and that could unexpectedly be attributed to that since modern releases are cancer

It was on my uncle's phone and I borrowed it when visiting family

I could have sworn there was an Asphalt game too but he never bought it
