Overfitting patterns is how conspiracies seem true - Sexual chocolate - 26-06-2025

Humans would rather overfit than underfit data (due to evolutionary reasons), hence you can draft up a conspiracy that seems indubitably sensical because each datum branches off to another and a whole tree network seems too overwhelming to not be true.

For eg. I can draft a conspiracy right now

MVP interacted with ER . ER was born on 24 July, ie 7th month aka 24/7. MVP is on bookism 24/7 therefore MVP could be connected to the ER murders.

small example but most conspiracies work like this, except the data is more concealed and implicit while simulatenously what is being shown is more elaborated. This is also why philologists and those involved in semiotic studies can tell a conspiracy apart from another.

For eg. Tolkien and CS Lewis both believed the Bible to be NOT  a work of conspiracy/subversion owing to their experience in philology. That doesnt make Christianity true, it just means the document could be a work of a gnostic symbolism being translated into literal terms/ other possibilities we couldnt be sure of (we only work through elimination). While Nietzsche explicitly stated the Law of Manu was in effect a conspiracy since for division of caste it had to LIE and tie up loose ends so that the document could never come under critique (its logic is sound if one starts with a few axioms that had already been seeded in ancient India)

so u are trying to describe how pattern recognition works with terms that were inputted into you inside a framework that you have no notion of how it is outside it yourself or of who constructed it? thats fascinating, keep going
