(6+1)*1=7
(7+4)*2=22
(22+1)*3=69
(69+2)*4=284
(284+?)*5=?

there is kind of a pattern but it doesn't fit

6 - base (hence ;)
first next prime number x 1 = 7 x 1 = 7
first next prime number x 2 = 11 x 2 = 22
23 x 3 = 69
71 x 4 = 284
...
293 x 5 = 1465

checks out

I had the right idea I was just trying to add to get to the primes instead of teleporting to them

don't you forget all the maths you've learned immediately after highschool? or is this only a sub 100 IQ thing

there are tricks that make it easier (aassociations to my pet events, grouping, positioning digits in quadrants etc)

Couldn’t tell you how to solve a 9th grade quadratic to save my life
