Most alcoholic drinks don't even taste good. It's very obvious some of the people my age who drink are just doing it purely to socially signal to everyone else on their "coolness" and "manliness".

Beer is something I will never understand especially. My dad loves paying a premium for "draft" beer and makes us all eat at a bar and the whole time he just looks miserable drinking it. Swears by it that he loves it ofc. High volume high carbonated. Tastes like dookie and makes you bloat.

I'll let these people have their "vibe" but in 10 years they'll be below me and I'll be in a high rise apartment in Dubai.

I was like you guys once, when I was around 18-23, I think this is the age when people are the most idealistic, once you get older youll probably realize that being too idealistic is just something that holds you back. you should just enjoy life, whatever that personally means to you. to some, this means abstaining from alcohol, to others this means drinking it

IOW, yes its true that alcohol is a literal poison but I personally enjoy it and have had so many good memories from using it. wheres the cope? I dont care if I ingest "poison", everyone dies eventually anyways, why not have fun until then? should I stop doing anything that I enjoy just because its bad for me?
