sounds as corny as your average "deep" fb/ig quote, but this one is absolutely true in my case. the moment i started checking out of life because it seemed easier and required less general effort marked the beginning of my mental and physical decay
am i supposed to get a thrill from taking an evening walk or going to the bar with gf/friends after spending my entire day just passively existing, having done no more than 15-20 minutes of chores or other minor work? my 10-year-long experience is more than enough of a pattern for me to realize this is the #1 cause of pseudo-depression most people suffer/think they suffer from
i get that most neets and weirdos frequenting these forums didn't even have the choice, so they'll pretend not doing anything (while being alone) the entire day makes them feel euphoric, but that's obviously just sour grapes cope.

the most brutal part? if you re-read the op, it's obvious I tried to shift the conversation away from borderline-creepy compulsive idiocy I knew was coming in advance. for nothing - it just doesn't work when you are dealing with dysfunctional people completely consumed by whichever psychological issue they are dealing with.
I wish this was a forum where you could not predict the content of the first few replies to your thread to a t. but that would require users with normal life experience and range of thoughts, and not fringe autists, weirdos and other kinds of social rejects.
