Very simplified summary of I why I will never hard-core hikiko/NEET again - n9wiff - 19-02-2025

Idiosyncratic symptoms, this is my personal experience

Ultra summarised text.

Foreword : am not trying to demonise it for whatever reason, I am actually glad I did it because the first month or so of being a hikiko is actually bliss. After that, it became torturous for me and I'll get into why

Point 1 : just a theory, alleviation of all ( virtually of course, and in the context of things like attending school, going for work etc ) responsibilities lead to an initially extremely low stress life.

After living like this for a while, I eventually became severely anhedonic and my sleep schedule was completely and utterly wrecked ( sleeping I the morning, waking up at night

I also became very hyper responsive to any and I meanany stressor. Overall I was pretty chill but as soon my parents nag at me or I have to stop what I'm doing for the slightest "chore" I get stressed out and agitated

I was thinking the obvious duh, you get accustomed to the lazy and rotter life style that threshold for when things set you in a stressful mood = much lower

Point 2 : harder to get human interaction. Neet/rotter phases were when I really started to spend 24/7 time on forums. It's a way for uss to replace socialising ( something that's harder for us alike to get in this situation)

Forums are far inferior, of course this is depending on which forum and what not but they typically attract like minded losers ( sorry to use the word but most neets and hikikos are by convent. Standards "losers" ). This makes most forums centered around a sphere with a bunch of neets or socially awkward retards in general = an echo chamber of utter stupidity

A lot of that stupidity rubbed onto me because I presume I like most people are just not well read or spend enough times with ourselves truly alone ( just us and our thoughts, more prevalent in younger peeps ).

Guys like us tend to have others do the thinking for us

I became severely retarded ( not literally but you know, I unironically believed in some wild shit. I cringe REALLY FUCKING HARD when I think back, like it's an idea so utterly stupid and I used to gobble it up. I like to think that I am muh self aware now but I could very well cringe at this very thread I'm writing in a week or so )

Point 3 : I believe that none of us are likely to be "special" and its often rare to be able to ACTUALLY finance this lifestyle. Let's say you have a "mogger" neruochem or whatever and you jump through the hurdles I've fallen over just fine. To continue, you still need a massive amount of funds.

No, I am not talking abiut enough to live in the moment. No, I mean long term cash stream that you are able to save whilst building your wealth. Inflation hits hard and if at any point of time you decide to quit after wasting YEARS of farmable work exp. Or wasting education opportunities, then trust me you don't need that "enough" to get by

You need security and a safety net to fall on, personally if I was an engineer and I was given a task to make a platform to hold the weight of 5 people, I would make sure it is able to hold 500

Sorry, I don't like to use analogies because it's cheesy but u get what I mean

Afterword : honestly had fun, it faded and now I'm begging to go back to university

Maybe ur brain is fine and works fine under these conditions, who knows. Have fun

Ur were a rotter, not a neet. Neets can do anything they want its just most neets choose to be rotters due to lack of money + high inhib.

Neets can be drug addicts, neets can be drug dealers

Neets can be burglars and neets can be rotters

Neets can be porn addicts and neets can be slayers

NEET = no man made job, no school to be slave

I was able to even postpone getting personal ID documents until age 31

My hikiko record is around 2.5 years straight
