What's the "official" reason?
It obviously neither works (half the posters are alts, they are just too boring for anyone to notice it) nor contributes to the quality of the forum (99% of posts is unintelligible garbage)
And they can detect and ban all alts of users who doxx someone or do some other actual offence anyway
