Has anyone tried Matcha? - kathisterima - 27-05-2022 Quote:A runway show at fashion week might go by in a whir—just minutes after the first look appears on the catwalk, the designer bows, the lights come on, and the backstage frenzy ends—but for the models, fashion week is a marathon, not a sprint. With many clocking 12-hour days over the seven-day fashion fest, many of these models are turning to a new trend to keep them fueled. The girls backstage are swapping out their nonfat lattes, espresso shots, and plain black coffees for thanks to PANATEA, a health and lifestyle-driven matcha green tea company. Quote:As matcha is a concentrated form of green tea, it has been long reputed by enthusiasts for centuries that matcha possesses stronger health benefits associated with green tea. Caffeine is more concentrated in matcha, but the main matcha constituent expected to have a stress-reducing effect is theanine. Theanine is the most abundant amino acid in green tea, and together with succinic acid, gallic acid and theogallin is what gives matcha its umami flavor. Compared to traditional green tea, the production of matcha requires the tea leaves to be protected from sunlight. Shading results in an increase in caffeine, total free amino acids, including theanine, but also reduces the accumulation of flavonoids (catechins) in leaves. Skeletal model of theanine molecule it seems legit RE: Has anyone tried Matcha? - noi_avorrit - 27-05-2022 That's quite interesting, given that it has more caffeine than coffee but at the same time reduces stress (or at least it has theanine). I've never tasted it though. Do you think it could be a good replacement for Coffee, Kath? I could taste it. Have you ever tasted it? By the way, sorry for going off-topic, if I'm not mistaken you're vegetarian and would be vegan in times past. Could I ask you how long have you been both vegetarian and vegan and what made you interested in this way of eating? I'm very sorry if I used sometimes the adjective "vegano-faggot" in a generalized way two weeks ago, I was meaning anti-white folk rather than vegans and vegetarians by virtue of it. Also fashion models drink it so it's cool af It's ok. I haven't tried matcha yet, I just found out about it. I have conflicting opinions about the vegan thing, since I have changed a lot as a person in those 5 years I follow those diets. I guess the only reason I keep being on this diet is because I argued a lot with relatives about my diet (they weren't fond) and I don't want to backpedal now, it's an ego thing. RE: Has anyone tried Matcha? - MysteriousWeeb420 - 28-05-2022 sounds like a scam amino acids and antioxidants don't do shit it's just caffeine with placebo from marketing RE: Has anyone tried Matcha? - kathisterima - 28-05-2022 (28-05-2022, 03:24 AM)MysteriousWeeb420 Wrote: sounds like a scam I mean there are papers suggesting l theanine and caffeine combination can increase cognitive ability to higher levels than caffeine itself can so it can't be complete bull.
