Title. Why is Elon Musk so pro-babies, besides the usual more customers, more labor force counterarguments?

Obviously, he has this sense of grandiose. I mean he’s even shared something like this on multiple occasions: Wernher von Braun, a renowned rocket scientist, wrote a science fiction book titled "The Mars Project" where he predicted that a leader named "Elon" would govern a Martian colony.

Is he trying to leave Earth in shambles while selectively taking a small population with him, not caring about what happens to the rest?

Why not let nature do its thing? And why is population decline necessarily a bad thing? Throughout history, even after mass-casualty events like plagues and wars, the quality of life significantly increased, as there was more solidarity among the people, more resources per person, and workers had greater bargaining power, which decreased income inequality. It also significantly improved the environment, just like Genghis Khan, who is known by many as an “eco warrior” for removing 700 million tons of carbon from the atmosphere and cooling the Earth after killing over 60 million people.

For a guy who’s preaching electric vehicles and talking muh saving the environment, why would he be against this? The US put a man on the moon with a population of 202.7 million people (employing just 400,000 people), and there’s been a 67% increase from then to 334 million. Why the fuck do we need more people? 

As for the aging population, we can just euthanize everyone in nursing homes and take away medicaid for people over a certain age, just like how nature intended.

Is this all apart of his plans to enslave the human race?
