His country is mainly based on tourism so it makes sense if he likes colder weather only.

My dad also like Johnnie Walker which is overrated. Chivas is a bit better but stilly hyped up.
Tell him to try Talisker.

"Like drinking fire" is not usually a good sign. Better whisky is more balanced and don't hide its aroma under the alcohol.
Every whisky gives you a nasty fart though.
