i'd consider this if they were alive. i did like my childhood, the pleasure was extracted from novelty and novelty was drained by time. nostalgia is an everliving liminal dream of this once state, now adulthood is just grim. adulthood is a state of, you can get drunk, but you can't get that drunk, you'll just vomit instead
