Apparently, "thinking that you yourself are on the right path" is bad.

To me, you are supposed to take decisions at all times which are the best ones you can make.

So ipso facto (by definition), you will think that you are on the right path. Because you deliberately chose the way you did.

Therefore only douchenozzles use Narcissist as an insult

Life sucks for most people, they try to make the decisions that leads them to success or in some cases, the least amount of suffering.

Narcissist as an insult is pretty shit though. Some people just stay winning no matter what, and it's usually such people with so much genuine confidence to trigger such insults. On the opposite end of the spectrum you have losers who are unremarkable yet try to LARP about how they are better than they actually are and are just "lazy/don't try". Those people are usually ratted out too quickly by anyone with a brain.

Can you blame someone for being such a self-righteous prick when everything in their lives have justified their, by what these mostly jealous people deem as, delusions?

Narcissism is different from confidence and being secure in your thinking, my reply above was a tangent on your last statement.

normies say it jokingly. a normie trait is not to take yourself too seriously, in the case of narcies, they just do believe they are handsome or have whatever good trait even if in reality they suck, and they'll make a tempest in a teapot if you disagree with them even if you do it in an easygoing way

So, your definition of Narcissist is "someone who thinks they are extremely special, when usually they aren't, and when you inform them of this they become enraged."

That sounds more like a sensitive or unfortunate state; but the way they are spoken about, narcissists are painted as Harmful to others.

i think those terms can be summed up by a set of traits
i am a neet, i have low-ego/persona and high sentience
narcies have high-ego/persona and extremely low sentience
normies are in the middle term, in a way, narcies are walking memes, normies are the homeostasis of nature, while i am more like a "robot"
i think it isn't hard to see why rodger did what he did, he was a narcy in a robot/failed normie ambient (psl) - he was probably taken down so many times that he just went insane
