Stupid iMac made a popping noise and won’t turn on again. World seems darker now. I feel isolated, cut-off, increasingly feral… I’m really dreading having to delve into the Bitcoin treasury to fund a new PC.

I'm still using iPad Pro from a few years back
I dropped it at Nice airport so it has a crack in the upper right

I would browse forums on my iPad during my daily 1 hour of screen-time during my early-mid teens. A horrible, horrible period of existence.

It makes no noise so it's better than a "mini tower" PC or any other that has noisy Cooling Fans.
There's a so-called Magic Keyboard for the ipad pro and you attach it magnetically so it seems laptopish in appearance

Yes, I will have to buy another one using the earnings from my jobs. However, as I’ve already mentioned, I’ll have to delve into my Bitcoin stash.

But yes, as you say, it’s probably a good idea to wait. Perhaps my parents will have pity on me and gift me a new PC using their retirement funds.
