RE: rate my eye area - MVP - 10-09-2024

im terrible at such things, but only because i have barely any training for it, if i wanted, and i will want in the future, i could and will become the best in the world at such things

my goal is to never put in effort, unless i enjoy it, but just learn the solutions

so what is the solution + explanation for this?

nah. i mean, maybe you've found another valid pattern, but i didnt have this in mind

why would i respond to you when you completely ignore all my questions, subhuman?

RE: rate my eye area - MVP - 10-09-2024

i swear to god there is no pattern here

even if i looked at it for an hour, there would appear no pattern

ill discuss my method so u can point out where i went wrong

lets call the long lines (such as the left-most line in the top left rectangle) "bars"
  • moving from left to right along the row, the bar moves clockwise
  • descending the column, the bar moves anticlockwise
  • therefore, the solution has the bar in the 9 oclock/left position

let's call the other lines "lines"
  • when the bar is 9oclock/left, the lines begin in the center of the rectangle's y axis, and point leftwards
  • when the bar is 3oclock/right, the lines begin in the center of the rectangle's x axis, and point upwards
  • when the bar is 6oclock/bottom, the lines are invisible
  • when the bar is 12oclock/top, the lines begin in the center of the rectangle's y axis, and point rightwards
  • therefore, because the solution has the bar in 9oclock/left position, the line must begin in the centre of the rectangle's y axis, and point leftwards

  • in the first row, the lines begin inside the rectangle
  • in the second row, the lines begin outside the rectangle
  • in the first two rows, the lines are the short
  • we conclude that the type of line stays consistent across rows
  • the line is invisible in the middle of the 3rd row due to the 6oclock/bottom bar rule
  • we extrapolate that, because the lines stay consistent across rows, the solution (bottom right) must have a line bearing a resemblance to the bottom left rectangle
  • therefore, the solution has a line of the same form to the bottom left rectangle

the updated solution is as follows:
[Image: image.png?ex=66e1b40a&is=66e0628a&hm=339...y=lossless]

problem is that idk why the rectangle in the middle of the matrix has a bent line. you could maybe argue that the bottommost rectangle to have a line in each column has a crooked line?
