tate on eating - Daily Flosser - 07-09-2024

i relate to the first half as corny as it is. i've never enjoyed eating, just see it as something I need to do and get over with. i don't remember the last time i've been excited to eat something and just devoid of emotions in general. why am i like this

i'm indifferent. it's all an inconvenience rather than pleasure. i go out a lot too and its just erm

my typical diet is:
don't eat breakfast. drink a lot of water. black coffee on days i'm tired.

lunch - 2 quest birthday cake protein bars. an apple

dinner - my heaviest meal and more variable but usually meat-vegetable combo. today, steak with mixed vegetables. followed by frozen grapes and dark chocolate bar

he doesn't eat for fun because he smokes and drinks instead

Sounds like really nice routine

Tbh I just eat heavy every meal. I also eat 5 times a day instead of 3.

I unironically think its because its a reflection of your deeper psychology, which is basically shallow. its difficult to fully articulate the impression I get from you but I think you basically tend to perceive things in an overly simplistic, highly fungible-lizing manner. you overly schematize things because of this underlying drive for efficiency, in the process missing the "soul" of that which you analyze. you would rather force messy realities to fit into your pre-conceived models instead of adjusting your pre-conceived models to fit messy realities. I think part of this is due to your age, I get the impression youre a bit younger and because of this youre still headstrong and egoistic, but as you get older and your thinking matures, your mental models will improve accordingly, as will your ability to enjoy food.

IOW you dont enjoy food because you dont really appreciate the details or the experience due to being mentally in a rush, you perceive everything as an abstraction because thats more efficient

Clap

specially for the cooking part. this new obsession with cooking is more embarrassing than that hipster beard thing that was popular a couple of years ago
