im being serious btw, what are tips you all have when texting/talking to girls? especially things that you shouldnt do

Things that you shouldn't do is letting her do all the work when it comes to keeping the conversation going.
I definitely messed up the first few interactions I had because of this. After I started initiating and putting in much more effort on my end things got better.

do you ever just not know what to say though? and then you begin thinking about the right thing to say, but then you start overthinking and before you know it, you dont know what sounds natural or not anymore

It's a habit of mine, yes but I think this is just common for people who overthink while being nervous for talking to women.
It went away the more I talked and interacted.
It's kind of like doing cold approaches, the more you start doing them, the more comfortable you get so it's like exposure therapy.
Used to be a nervous wreck where I couldn't talk to them IRL, would overthink every reply and response I gave/received etc. Now I have some female friends I can hang around with very casually.
Once you become comfortable and casual, you will start to treat them like talking to any other friend you have.

youre lucky bro, I wish I had some platonic female friends IRL. I genuinely like vibing with females sometimes, just as friends. how did you meet your friends (that are girls)?

I guess it's easier for me since I am still 17. Met most of them during HS or University.

There is no right and wrong, just say the first thing that comes to your mind. You are not shaekspeare; don't try to be literature mogger, words are just a tool to convey feelings.
Imho what you say doesn't matter in the slightest, it's all about being confidently playful and having fun
But be dignified and serious when it comes to things that hurt her
