he was middle aged, looked completely destroyed by life and obviously had some shitty job with minimum salary
just gestured he needed help when i walked past him and showed me the paper with an address
i instructed him where to go in perfect english, while also using my hands to describe where he should turn, because i dont think his english was good
he smiled, said "thank you, sir" and moved on
