life is so weird - Altruist - 27-02-2024
i thought this was a cliche, but i ve had multiple major achievements in the last 3 weeks, goals i ve been chasing for over a decade thinking once i get there, i ll spend the rest of my life in bliss, and of course, i feel empty and alienated ever since
it s related to my private life circumstances and my career. nothing literally life-changing, but pretty important to me. everything played out just right, but ended up with one huge anticlimax
am i supposed to start this process over again or what

when everything is effortless even 99.99th percentile achievements seem mundane. you need to switch up the meta to eating in soup kitchens and sleeping in bus stops

i completely understand that mindset. i just wish i could stay in one of those two alternatives for good. not feel content just existing and chilling for a while, but then get the urge to chase muh achievements and success of any kind

Either become a defeatist or oscillate between being unfulfilled and moments of forgetting that you feel unfulfilled forever

no, this isnt about me trying to say everything is too easy for me. i m talking about solving some problems and making my everyday life much more comfortable and less stressful; something i hoped would happen for a very long time. turns out it just shoves the next set of problems and inconveniences down your throat
