Its normal to watch a movie or read a book and Not be able to Recall more than 1 sentence.
You need many repetitions

some of my patients have bad memory (I'm a doctor)
had they had gone to dinner already, they'll have had already had forgetten that they had already had had dinner an hour later and had had food already to have had to had eaten.
