basically the strength of every theological argument ever constructed

religious people really have to deal with a lot of fucking cognitive dissonance and engage in Olympic medal tier mental gymnastics to keep their beliefs alive, lmfao

if the concept of cognitive dissonance is even applicable to such a state of existence

riddle me this, my pet:

riddle me this instead: why are you using the cheapest rhetorical "trick" there is, asking me an extremely complicated and vaguely (to the point it's borderline meaningless) put question, when it's obvious you've already decided whatever i say is gonna be "completely wrong" and stupid, and perfect for you to dunk on it with a thought you've already formulated?

p.s. the question is rhetorical, the answer to this is always the same - because the person using the "trick" is not confident enough in just expressing their opinion, so they feel the need to weaken the position of the person they're talking to before actually giving a substantial input like a normal, intellectually honest person that genuinely believes they have an argument

p.p.s.

p.p.p.s
