Skating mogs all the piano classics. You can't name me a better piece. - AlbanianLegend1994 - 05-04-2023

Lol at how hard this this piece mogs, the cymbal "brushes" throughout the song approximating the sound (if it had a sound) of snowfall, just insanely brilliant.

Also, the dissonance at 1:02-1:03 (right before the tempo picks up) is so perfectly executed.

how greatly I envy the amateur audiophile, so much to learn and discover about music still, the magic still exists for you

may God will that you keep your blissful innocence

If you can't compose your own pieces you're also an amateur, there is no satisfaction in learning how to play what's already been done, only creating

There are gradients to amateurity, etc

But the point still stands you can't name me a better piece

You want to start musical debate with me then subsequently reduce the interpretation of pianistry to "playing what's already been done". Do you even understand the depth of musicality it takes to interpret "something thats already been done" effectively on an instrument?

Just go listen to some Dua Lipa or something jfl @Born2Mog

You've harnessed the skills required to interpret a masterpiece, but you're only rendering/recreating it.

There's no display of creativity, agency, etc.

my bloody valentine, black midi, and king crimson are the best musical composers of all time.

Well I do actually understand the value of that kind of music I wouldn't really judge you severely for that opinion

dua lipa is good (also v sexy and strong)

this is a good song, i always assumed it was smth classical, makes me feel fuzzy and warm inside

i found an old alarm clock radios in the dumpster and have just been listening to that tbh recently

vibes> music theory complexity (im sure theres a big word for it)
