it's easy to say something was known only after it's in the collective (un)conscious of the masses. if that were ever true it would've been a phenomena long ago (any major social media uses our memes - which didn't happen BY ITSELF pre-PSL/4chan.) for sure aesthetics is inherent, anyone regardless of age can judge 'bad or good' correctly, the thing is that it was never this truly known or of specific detail
