civilization with a unique society structure and way of life and learn everything from start? Like the minish village in the legend of Zelda, or Columbia on bioshock infinite. Is that too neckbeard-ish to think about?

ive read stories of people getting abducted by fae in the woods who then adopt the person into their fae society. sounds sort of like what youre talking about

obviously not because i'm not a fucking subhuman whose purpose in life is to endlessly talk about star wars or harry potter, but i get what you mean
i watched this a couple of days ago: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt11895484/ and kept thinking about how people from those eras were privileged in a way. but i guess people from 2200 will think the same about today's scientists working in a lab and having at least some ai at their disposal
