Almost no downtime because there isn't a day/night cycle and the atmosphere usually blocks and reflects a large proportion of the solar energy

For anyone interested, the feasibility studies all show this is a great idea and will work, the only barrier in place was the cost of sending stuff up into space. Now with innovations in reusable rockets, it is cost efficient and essentially all governments and space agency of any importance are working on this as we speak
